The Bokun/Kościuszko Clarinet and Guitar Duo is a musical ensemble whose aspiration is to rediscover the greatest masterpieces of chamber music from Schubert, through 20th-century French composers to a contemporary chamber and solo music repertoire. Beside chamber music concerts, the Duo also performs with orchestras, playing the Double Concerto by Astor Piazzolla in an arrangement for clarinet, guitar and strings. In 2015 they released the album A la carte, gaining 5-star reviews. Currently the duo is working on the album A la carte 2, featuring works by Ravel, Zenamon, Drozd, Kovacs, Galliano, Viseur and Yom. The duos` concert tour included such cities as Cologne, Tokyo, Nagoya, Paris, Budapest, Oostende, Brussels, Vilnius, Cracow to mention but a few. The enthusiastic acclaim in Japan resulted with the appereance on the cover of “Clarinet” magazine. Bokun plays with a compact, ringing tone of excellent quality and Kosciuszko's robust guitar playing results in an excellent blend and an equality of sound. Both players are outstanding musicians. |
